Cutteslowe Community Association has regretfully had to have a staffing restructure in order to respond to tougher times financially. Trustees decided to create one 0.5 Centre Manager post instead of two different 0.5 Community Worker posts. The office is now open regularly in the mornings, from Monday - Friday, 9 - 1.
Huge thanks are due to Anna for many years of commitment and hard work for Cutteslowe, and similarly Chris who brought many new ideas, and energy over the last year. We wish them well in their future work.
Allie Noel has taken up the post of Community Centre Manager from 2 September, and she looks forward to providing a welcome, and looking after the many activities that go on for young and old.
Use our outdoor Ping Pong table (located by the skate board park) free of charge!
Simply call into the Community Centre and ask for bats and balls to borrow.
If you would like to volunteer to look after the Cutteslowe bats and balls then get in touch with the Community Centre.
Sponsored by Oxford City Council.
Two Cutteslowe Lads, Harry Chant and Owen Short have won 2 Silvers and a Bronze as well as a Rosette at the Yarnton Nurseries Flower Show competition.
Well done lads!
Cutteslowe Community Association has successfully secured almost £6000 for Social Inclusion projects on the estate.
The funds will pay for a community intergenerational project with the Cutteslowe Senior’s Group and Primary School, to build relationships between the different age groups on the estate to learn from one and other.
The allotment club will also be supported to involve more people with more tools and equipment and volunteer sessions on site.
If you would like to be involved with either of these projects or find out more about the Community centre’s recent success, call into the office or phone 01865 311172. We’d love to hear from you!
