Thanks to a partnership between Oxford City Council's Go Active Sports Development Team and CCA, a series of six sessions of Tai Chi for people over 50 is going to be run at the community centre in the new year, starting on the 4th January. Sessions will run on Wednesday afternoons from 2.30pm-3.30pm, and will cost £3 per session for Cutteslowe residents. If the sessions prove popular, they will be contuinued after the six weeks. Tai Chi is a gentle exercise, suitable for all fitness levels. For more information contact Vicki Galvin, Go Active Co-ordinator on 01865 252720.
SHARE YOUR IT SKILLS
AgeUK Oxfordshire is seeking local volunteers who would be willing to share their IT skills with others as part of a new, older people-led initiative, which is funded by Comic Relief. They would also like to hear from older people in Cutteslowe who might be interested in learning computer and IT skills - whether it's to use the internet, send emails, play with digital photography, trace family history or simply access advice and information! Contact Marian Pococock on 01865 717614 for further details.
